Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Biostatistics

The Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics (DEB) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Biostatistics who will work in the research group of Dr. Lydia Zablotska, MD, Ph.D., Professor of Epidemiology and Leader, Occupational and Environmental Area of Concentration. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary group of scientists on several large cohort studies of medical, occupational and environmental radiation exposures. Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biostatistics/ bioinformatics or related field with a strong emphasis on computing, statistical methods and analysis of large datasets.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and willingness to learn new methods of risk modeling.
  • Programming experience in statistical and scripting languages (R, SAS, Stata, etc.).
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills and a desire to publish.

This is a 2-year full-time position with a possibility for an extension. The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will receive a competitive annual salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package.
